Overview

  • Eutelsat reported €1.23 billion in video, connectivity and government revenues for the fiscal year ended June 30, beating analysts’ €1.21 billion consensus.
  • LEO services revenue climbed 84.1% to €187 million as European and other non-U.S. governments ramped up orders under Ukraine support and the IRIS² sovereign broadband initiative.
  • The operator forecasts a further 50% jump in LEO revenue next year, even as impairments and Russian sanctions continue to weigh on its geostationary segment.
  • A €1.5 billion capital injection led by the French state and UK investors accompanies a management overhaul to finance LEO expansion.
  • Eutelsat secured a contract to equip a South American airline with OneWeb LEO inflight connectivity and is negotiating similar deals with other carriers and rail operators.
