Overview

  • Eurostar and London St Pancras Highspeed have signed a letter of intent for a £300 million, three-phase expansion to increase station throughput.
  • Phase one will optimise security and border controls within the existing footprint to add 2,700 passengers per hour by 2028.
  • Hawkins\Brown has been appointed to deliver a design and feasibility study, with concept plans due by late 2025.
  • Phase two will remodel the international concourse and its link to the main hall by 2028, while phase three could move arrivals upstairs by the mid-2030s.
  • Eurostar has rolled out 30-minute early boarding to reduce wait times and is on track to launch direct LondonGermany and LondonSwitzerland services in the early 2030s.
