Overview

• Zenobē's Blackhillock battery site in northern Scotland, now operational, is the largest battery storage facility in Europe with a current capacity of 200MW/400MWh.
• Once fully expanded to 300MW/600MWh in 2026, the facility will be capable of powering over 3.1 million homes for two hours, exceeding the total number of households in Scotland.
• The project addresses grid congestion from major offshore wind farms and provides stability services to the UK's National Energy System Operator, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
