European Researchers’ Night Returns Friday Across 400+ Cities

The EU-backed outreach night seeks to bring researchers closer to citizens through interactive, youth-focused activities.

Overview

  • Granada opens its program Friday at 18:00 on the Paseo del Salón with 31 stands, more than 200 activities and a six-stand Kid Corner.
  • Madrid offers one of the broadest lineups, from electronics demos at the Polytechnic University to a Martian escape room at INTA, satellite-building at UC3M and virtual fashion at UFV.
  • The CSIC schedules over 200 activities across 10 regions and extends its program to Rome with work tied to the Tusculum archaeological project.
  • La Caixa mounts nearly 300 sessions in its centers and museums, including building a human eye model, bioluminescence for cancer research and live simulations of minimally invasive surgery.
  • The University of Extremadura hosts free events in Badajoz, Cáceres, Mérida and Plasencia, preceded by a dedicated day for primary, secondary, baccalaureate and vocational students.
