• The 40th European Chess Club Cup (Open) and 29th European Women’s Club Cup are in progress in Rhodes, Greece, organized by the European Chess Union.

• The event runs as a seven-round competition using a 90-minute time control with an additional 30 minutes and a 30-second increment per move.
