Overview
- A Berlin-hosted videoconference at 14:00 CET on Wednesday will bring President Zelensky together with EU and NATO officials and leaders from Germany, Finland, France, Britain, Italy and Poland.
- The coordinated meeting will address tactics to increase pressure on Russia, the sequencing of ceasefire negotiations, security guarantees and the status of Russian-occupied territories.
- At 15:00 CET European leaders will join President Trump and Vice President Vance in a follow-up videoconference to present unified objectives ahead of U.S.–Russia talks.
- Germany, France and Britain will then convene the so-called “coalition of the willing” to design support packages for Ukraine in the event hostilities pause.
- These back-to-back sessions are intended to shape the negotiation framework and reinforce Kyiv’s interests before the Trump–Putin summit in Anchorage on August 15.
