Overview
- SCDF said the blaze was extinguished at about 11pm on Nov 1 after an alert at around 5.30pm, with damping-down operations continuing overnight.
- About 60 firefighters and 16 emergency vehicles deployed two water jets, two water monitors, an aerial monitor and firefighting machines due to structural instability.
- Part of a factory wall collapsed during operations, three workshop units were engulfed and a fourth was partially affected at the roof.
- Two firefighters were taken to hospital, including one for suspected smoke inhalation, and both have since been discharged with medical leave.
- The Ministry of Home Affairs advised the public to avoid the area as a large smoke plume was visible from several neighborhoods, and nearby businesses reported damage and lost documents.
