Overview

  • Research scientist Davide Crapis unveiled the dAI Team on September 15 with a mandate to enable agentic payments and coordination without intermediaries and to build a decentralized AI stack that avoids concentration of control.
  • ERC-8004 is described as a trust and identity standard for AI agents to discover, verify, and interoperate across Ethereum and is being finalized for a November debut in Buenos Aires.
  • The team has started hiring, listing roles such as an AI researcher and a project manager, and has published resources to draw AI developers into the Ethereum ecosystem.
  • Work will be coordinated with the Foundation’s protocol group and Ecosystem Support arm, with plans to fund public goods and projects at the AI–blockchain intersection.
  • The Foundation says research collaborations with major Silicon Valley firms are underway, with specific partners to be announced later.
