Overview

  • Essen’s A40 between Essen-Ost and Huttrop reopened on May 31 at 19:00 after accelerated repairs on a damaged drainage channel freed up traffic four days ahead of schedule.
  • A full closure of the A42 between Essen-Nord and Bottrop-Süd will run from June 6 at 22:00 until June 16 at 05:00 to install a new pipe bridge, with signed detours in place.
  • From June 1 through late November, the A25 Hamburg–Geesthacht is limited to one lane in both directions and the Elbgaustraße between Eidelstedt and Lurup has operated as a southbound one-way route since May 29 for extensive refurbishment.
  • The Köhlbrandbrücke is reduced to a single eastbound lane from Waltershof until June 13, followed by a full weekend closure through June 16 for maintenance by the Hafenbehörde HPA.
  • Andreas-Meyer-Straße in southeast Hamburg will be fully closed from the weekend of June 6–9 for rehabilitation, affecting the key link between the A1 and the Billbrook industrial area.
