Overview

  • Preparatory works launched July 12, paving the way for full reconstruction that starts July 14 and is scheduled to last 18 months.
  • Kupferdreher Straße between Poststraße and the A 44 on-ramp has been converted to one-way traffic toward Überruhr to accommodate construction.
  • Bus lines 141, 177, NE6, E57 and E74 are rerouted over the A 44 toward Kupferdreh, with relocated stops at Rote Mühle, Kampmannbrücke and Prinz-Friedrich-Straße.
  • Protected bicycle lanes marked between Poststraße and Langenberger Straße remove numerous parking spaces to improve safety and accessibility.
  • Eight concurrent projects across districts such as Bergerhausen, Freisenbruch and Rüttenscheid have begun alongside major lane restrictions on the A 42 and A 52.
