ESPN Sets 20-Night ‘Inside the NBA’ Slate With TNT Production and Full Cast Intact

ESPN will use its app to keep the show’s postgame running beyond linear TV windows.

Overview

  • The studio show will appear on 20 regular-season nights, debuting Oct. 22–23, returning on Christmas, and ramping up with ABC’s Jan. 24 primetime launch.
  • Inside the NBA continues to be produced by TNT Sports in Atlanta with Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.
  • Pregame begins one hour before tip on ESPN and 30 minutes on ABC, with ABC Saturday postgames starting on ABC and continuing on the ESPN App.
  • The schedule is backloaded at TNT’s request, and ESPN has told the crew they will not be rushed off for local affiliates or SportsCenter.
  • The show will front marquee events and all ESPN/ABC playoff coverage, including the NBA Finals, with postseason dates to be announced later.
