The move follows ESPN’s review of booth chemistry, placing Burke on a new multi-year No. 2 assignment.

Overview

  • The Breen–Jefferson–Legler crew is slated to call next June’s NBA Finals on ABC as well as conference finals and other marquee games.
  • Doris Burke signed a multi-year extension and will work with play-by-play voice Dave Pasch throughout the regular season and playoffs on ESPN’s No. 2 team.
  • ESPN also finalized a new multi-year deal for Jefferson, while Salters’ contract had been extended previously.
  • The change is the fourth different Finals booth in four years since the departures of Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson, with reporting citing chemistry evaluations of the three-person format.
