Overview

  • On August 12, ESPN elevated Laura Rutledge to full-time sideline reporter on the No. 1 Monday Night Football crew alongside Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters.
  • Veteran sideline reporter Lisa Salters inked a contract extension to continue in her role as she enters her 14th season at ESPN.
  • Peter Schrager and Katie George will cover sideline duties for select MNF doubleheader games, including Weeks 2, 4, 6, 7 and the Week 18 Saturday doubleheader.
  • Rutledge’s multi-year extension earlier this year secures her ongoing NFL Live and SEC Nation hosting duties as well as two full seasons of top-crew MNF exposure ahead of ESPN’s Super Bowl broadcast in early 2027.
  • ESPN’s plan to end Monday Night Football doubleheaders under its new NFL rights agreement remains on hold pending Department of Justice approval, keeping the current schedule intact for at least one more season.
