The incident occurred as the network was returning from a commercial break during the second half of the game between the Washington Huskies and the Texas Longhorns.
Despite the controversy, the Washington Huskies emerged victorious with a 37-31 win over the Texas Longhorns.
The Huskies, led by Heisman finalist quarterback Michael Penix Jr., are now set to face off against the University of Michigan in the national championship.
The national championship game will take place on Monday, January 8, at Houston's NRG Stadium.
