Overview
- Registrations are open now for Every Kid Sports Pass grants that will be fulfilled through the Fall 2026 pass for qualifying families in Los Angeles, Fresno, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and New York.
- The program is expanding free preschool sports clinics into new markets, including Oakland, Chicago, Fresno, Los Angeles/Inland Empire and Philadelphia, to connect families with local youth-sports resources.
- Me & Mickey: Let’s Play Sports, a 10-short collection created with Positive Coaching Alliance, will debut June 29 on Disney+, Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. On Demand and will model preschool-friendly skills like kicking and catching.
- Organizers say the second-year effort builds on a 2025 pilot that reached more than 1,200 families across eight cities, exposed children to 22 sports, and included an inaugural East Los Angeles clinic with over 70 participants.
- ESPN, Disney Jr. and Every Kid Sports frame the initiative as a community access effort to reduce cost and logistical barriers so more 3–7-year-olds can gain early benefits of play such as confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship.
