Escaped Prisoner Captured After Four Months on the Run

Isaiah Robert Tilghman was arrested outside a Philadelphia gym, marking the end of a multi-state manhunt.

Isaiah Robert Tilghman, 33, was captured after being on the run for nearly four months following his escape from Blair County Prison in early December.
Tilghman was arrested as he left a Planet Fitness in Philadelphia, approximately 200 miles east of the prison.
The arrest was a collaborative effort between the Fugitive Task Forces in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, highlighting the efficiency of the U.S. Marshals Service in tracking down fugitives.
After his escape, Tilghman stole a red 2011 Ford F-150 and later drove a black BMW to the gym where he was apprehended.
Tilghman faces charges of escape, flight to avoid apprehension, and additional charges related to his escape.
