Escaped Capybara Cinnamon Safely Returned to Shropshire Zoo

The giant rodent was found in a pond after a week-long search involving thermal drones and a team of experts.

Cinnamon, a one-year-old capybara, escaped from Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World in Telford on September 13.
The capybara was found 250 meters from her enclosure, living in a pond within the zoo's woodland conservation area.
Zoo staff and a team of over a dozen experts used thermal drones and tracked her movements to capture her safely.
Despite initial difficulties, Cinnamon was coaxed into a cage and is now back with her twin brother, Churro.
Zoo officials have implemented new measures to prevent future escapes and are monitoring Cinnamon's health closely.
