Escaped Bull Ricardo Finds Sanctuary After Disrupting NJ Transit

After a daring escape from a slaughterhouse and a romp on the train tracks, Ricardo is now safe and recovering at Skylands Animal Sanctuary in New Jersey.

Ricardo, a bull who escaped from a slaughterhouse, disrupted train service between New York City and Newark as he roamed the tracks at Newark Penn Station.
The bull was eventually captured by members of the Newark Police Emergency Services Unit and the Port Authority Police Department, who contained it inside a fenced lot.
Ricardo was tranquilized and transported to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Sussex County, New Jersey, where he woke up from sedation in his new home.
