Escaped Bull Causes Commuter Chaos at New Jersey Station

Ricardo, the runaway Texas Longhorn, now safe at Skylands Animal Sanctuary after disrupting train service

A bull escaped onto the train tracks at Newark Penn Station in New Jersey, causing up to 45-minute delays for commuters heading into New York City.
The bull was eventually corralled by police into a fenced lot near Newark Liberty International Airport, tranquilized, and taken to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue.
The bull, now named Ricardo, is currently in quarantine at the sanctuary while tests are conducted to ensure he is not carrying any infectious diseases.
Ricardo is a castrated Texas Longhorn, weighing between 750 and 800 pounds, and is believed to have escaped from a nearby slaughterhouse or transport truck.
It remains unclear how the bull managed to access the train tracks, and this incident marks the first time a bull has caused such disruption for New Jersey Transit.
