Ertiga Tops August as India’s Passenger-Vehicle Market Falls 7.5% Year on Year

Maruti remained the leading maker, with tax cuts under GST 2.0 from September 22 expected to spur near-term demand.

  • Maruti models made up eight of the top 10 sellers, and the upcoming GST 2.0 cuts to 18% for many mass-market cars from September 22 are expected to lift purchases into the festive period.
