- Erick Fedde, a right-handed pitcher, has signed a two-year, $15 million deal with the Chicago White Sox.
- Fedde spent the 2023 season in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), where he won the league MVP award with a 20-6 record, a 2.00 ERA, and 209 strikeouts against 35 walks in 180.1 innings.
- Before his stint in the KBO, Fedde spent six seasons with the Washington Nationals, where he had a 21-33 record with a 5.41 ERA.
- Fedde's signing comes as part of the White Sox's roster overhaul under new general manager Chris Getz, which could also see the trade of ace Dylan Cease.
- The New York Mets had also expressed interest in signing Fedde.
