Eric Quill Named FC Dallas Head Coach
The former North Texas SC and New Mexico United coach returns to lead FC Dallas after a challenging 2024 season.
- Eric Quill, 46, previously coached FC Dallas' reserve team, North Texas SC, leading them to a USL League One Championship in 2019 and earning Coach of the Year honors.
- Quill most recently coached New Mexico United in the USL Championship, achieving the best record in club history and reaching the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals in 2024.
- He replaces interim coach Peter Luccin, who stepped in after Nico Estevez was dismissed in June following a poor start to the season.
- FC Dallas finished 11th in the Western Conference in 2024, missing the MLS playoffs for the second time in four years.
- Quill’s appointment is seen as a move to prioritize player development and competitive excellence, aligning with the club’s long-term goals.
