Eric Quill Named FC Dallas Head Coach

The former North Texas SC and New Mexico United coach returns to lead FC Dallas after a challenging 2024 season.

Eric Quill, 46, previously coached FC Dallas' reserve team, North Texas SC, leading them to a USL League One Championship in 2019 and earning Coach of the Year honors.
Quill most recently coached New Mexico United in the USL Championship, achieving the best record in club history and reaching the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals in 2024.
He replaces interim coach Peter Luccin, who stepped in after Nico Estevez was dismissed in June following a poor start to the season.
FC Dallas finished 11th in the Western Conference in 2024, missing the MLS playoffs for the second time in four years.
Quill’s appointment is seen as a move to prioritize player development and competitive excellence, aligning with the club’s long-term goals.
