Eric Bieniemy Joins Chicago Bears as Running Backs Coach

The former Chiefs offensive coordinator and two-time Super Bowl champion continues his coaching journey under new Bears head coach Ben Johnson.

Eric Bieniemy, who previously served as the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive coordinator and won two Super Bowl titles, has been hired as the Chicago Bears' running backs coach.
Bieniemy's coaching career has included ten seasons with the Chiefs, a one-year stint with the Washington Commanders in 2023, and a challenging season as UCLA's offensive coordinator in 2024.
The Bears' decision to hire Bieniemy connects him with general manager Ryan Poles, who worked with him during their time in Kansas City.
Bieniemy will work alongside Ben Johnson, the Bears' newly hired head coach, and will oversee a running back group that includes D’Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson.
Despite a tumultuous coaching journey in recent years, Bieniemy brings extensive NFL experience to a Bears staff aiming to support their first-time head coach with seasoned personnel.
