  • The former inn stood on an overgrown plot between a garden allotment area and the Ringelberg tram turnaround.
  • Crews from the Berufsfeuerwehr Erfurt and several volunteer fire departments battled the fire into the night.
  • Heavy smoke forced closures and slowdowns on Leipziger Straße and caused an estimated 80,000 euros in damage.
