Overview
- Net equity inflows fell about 21–22% from July’s Rs 42,702 crore to Rs 33,430 crore, extending a 54-month streak of positive equity flows.
- Flexi-cap, mid-cap and small-cap categories led August allocations with Rs 7,679 crore, Rs 5,330 crore and about Rs 4,993 crore, respectively.
- New fund offer mobilisation slumped to Rs 2,859 crore in August from Rs 30,416 crore in July, a key driver of the month-on-month moderation.
- Open-ended debt funds recorded net outflows of roughly Rs 7,980 crore, while overall industry net inflows were about Rs 52,443 crore.
- Gold ETFs drew Rs 2,189.5 crore and reached a record Rs 72,495.6 crore in AUM, and the mutual fund industry’s total AUM was roughly Rs 75.18 lakh crore.
