Epic Rolls Out Exact-Amount V-Bucks Purchases Oct. 14, With PlayStation Missing at Launch

The move answers years of player requests under growing regulatory scrutiny of forced currency bundles.

  • Epic confirms the Exact Amount option goes live October 14 across Fortnite’s Android, iPhone and iPad, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox, and the Fortnite web Item Shop, with PlayStation not supported at launch.
  • Players will see top-up offers in 50-unit increments in Fortnite and Rocket League and in 100-unit increments in Fall Guys.
  • On October 10, Epic will round existing balances up to the nearest 50 for Fortnite and Rocket League and to the nearest 100 for Fall Guys ahead of the rollout.
  • The feature lets users buy only the shortfall needed for an Item Shop purchase instead of a larger preset currency bundle.
  • Epic says it will work to make the option available everywhere, and reporting highlights open questions about bulk-bundle pricing and the reason for the PlayStation delay.
