EPFO adds 21.04 lakh net members in July, up 5.55%

  • Net additions rose 5.55% year over year to 21.04 lakh, according to July 2025 provisional payroll data.
  • EPFO enrolled about 9.79 lakh new subscribers, with 61.06% (5.98 lakh) aged 18–25, indicating youth-driven onboarding.

  • Female participation increased with around 2.80 lakh new women subscribers and net female additions of about 4.42 lakh.
  • Maharashtra accounted for 20.47% of net additions and expert services contributed 40.21%, with gains also seen in iron ore mining, universities, beedi and garment units, hospitals, trading and travel agencies.
