EPFO Payroll Adds 21.04 Lakh Net Members in July, Led by Youth and Rejoiners

  • Roughly 16.43 lakh former members rejoined, up 12.12% from a year earlier, opting to transfer balances rather than settle.
  • Female participation increased with around 2.80 lakh new women subscribers and net female additions of about 4.42 lakh.
  • Maharashtra accounted for 20.47% of net additions and expert services contributed 40.21%, with gains also seen in iron ore mining, universities, beedi and garment units, hospitals, trading and travel agencies.
