Overview

• Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said EPFO will complete crediting 8.25% interest for FY2024-25 into all remaining accounts within the week.
• As of July 8, interest had been credited to 32.39 crore member accounts, covering 96.51% of total accounts and 99.9% of establishments.
• Nearly ₹4,000 crore has already been disbursed as interest to 324 million accounts.
• The 8.25% rate was retained by the EPFO’s Central Board on February 28 and ratified by the central government on May 22.
• Serving 33.56 crore member accounts across 1.388 million establishments, the EPFO has shortened its annual update cycle from months to weeks through backend system optimisation.
