Overview

  • On July 11, the Chifeng Net Zero Industrial Park became the first green ammonia facility to earn ISCC Plus certification following Bureau Veritas validation of its sustainability and emissions controls.
  • The off-grid, AI-driven park currently delivers 320,000 tons of green ammonia per year by balancing wind, solar and grid-forming battery storage to maintain continuous production.
  • A dynamic air-separation unit converts excess renewable power into liquid nitrogen while AI-controlled electrolyzers adjust to power swings to optimize ammonia synthesis.
  • A long-term offtake agreement with Marubeni Corporation secures commercial demand for fertilizer, chemical and shipping applications and paves the way for exports to begin in Q4 2025.
  • Envision plans to ramp capacity to 1.5 million tons of green ammonia annually by 2028, using the Chifeng model as a template for replicable net-zero industrial parks worldwide.
