England Motorways See Multiple Incidents as M25 Reopens After HGV Fire and M62 Crash Leaves Driver Seriously Hurt

Police are seeking dashcam footage following a series of motorway incidents.

  • Two police officers were taken to hospital to be checked over after a collision between a marked van and a panel van with a trailer on the A66 westbound at the Cargo Fleet Lane roundabout in Middlesbrough; the carriageway reopened shortly after 3pm.
  • Greater Manchester Police said a 50-year-old man died at Birch services on the M62 eastbound near Heywood following a suspected cardiac arrest in his car, with access to the slip road temporarily closed and later reopened.
