Enforcement Directorate Team Attacked During Raid in West Bengal

An Enforcement Directorate (ED) team was attacked in West Bengal while attempting to raid the residences of Trinamool Congress leaders in connection with an alleged ration scam.
The team was targeting the homes of former Bongaon Municipality Chairman Shankar Adhya and TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan, who is also the Fisheries and Animal Resources Officer of North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad and Block President of Sandeshkhali 1.
Two ED officials were injured in the attack, which involved the vandalization of their vehicles.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose condemned the attack and criticized the state government for failing to maintain law and order.
Political leaders, including those from the BJP and Congress, have called for a National Investigation Agency probe into the incident and the imposition of President's Rule in West Bengal.
