Overview

• Ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters responded to the blaze on Maybury Close in Enfield after a 5:19 a.m. call to LFB 999 Control.
• The whole roof of the three-storey block is alight and firefighters report significant fire on the second floor.
• Two 32-metre turntable ladders are operating as water towers to attack the fire from height.
• Crews were mobilised from multiple London stations, with two Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue engines also attending.
• Firefighting operations continue and the London Fire Brigade says the cause has not yet been determined.
