Eneos President Dismissed Over Inappropriate Conduct

Takeshi Saito, the president of Japan's largest oil company, Eneos, has been dismissed after inappropriately hugging a woman while drunk at a social event.
The incident was reported through Eneos' whistle-blowing system, leading to an investigation by external lawyers.
Executive Vice President Yasushi Yatabe, who was present at the event, has also resigned.
This is the second scandal for Eneos in two years, following the resignation of former CEO Tsutomu Sugimori last year over sexual harassment allegations.
Eneos plans to implement drastic governance reforms and more effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
