Endico Recalls Frozen Peas & Carrots and Mixed Vegetables Over Listeria Risk in Seven States and D.C.

State testing in Pennsylvania found contamination on finished products, prompting a halt in shipments during an FDA‑monitored inquiry.

Overview

  • The recall covers Endico 2.5‑lb clear bags of Peas & Carrots lot 110625 (produced June 11, 2025; use by June 10, 2027) and Mixed Vegetables lot 170625 (produced June 17, 2025; use by June 16, 2027).
  • Products were distributed July 18 to Aug. 4 through local distributors in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida and Washington, D.C.
  • Sampling by Pennsylvania at a distributor detected Listeria monocytogenes on finished product, and Endico has ceased distribution as the cause is investigated.
  • No illnesses have been reported to date, though Listeria can cause severe disease in pregnant people, older adults and those with weakened immune systems and can survive freezing.
  • Consumers should not eat the recalled vegetables, should check lot codes printed on the side of the bag, and may return items for a refund or call 1‑800‑431‑1398 with questions.
