• They traveled by special Shinkansen from Tokyo to Maibara and were welcomed by Governor Taizo Mikazuki.
• They will attend the general opening ceremony this afternoon at Hikone General Sports Park, where the Emperor will deliver remarks.
• Following the ceremony, they plan to speak with Shiga-born athletes and National Sports Festival officials.
• On September 29, they are scheduled to watch badminton in the morning in Otsu.
• Later that day, they will visit the prefectural school for the blind in Hikone to observe classes, see envelope-making using recycled Braille paper, and meet a guide dog users’ group.
