Emma Raducanu Accepts Dubai Wild Card Amid Career-Worst Losing Streak

The former US Open champion faces tough competition at the WTA 1000 event as she seeks to regain form after four consecutive defeats.

Emma Raducanu has been granted a wild card to compete in the Dubai Tennis Championships, a WTA 1000 event featuring nine of the world’s top-ten players.
The 22-year-old is currently ranked No. 60 and has lost her last four matches, marking the longest losing streak of her professional career.
Despite opportunities to enter through qualifying rounds, Raducanu has opted for direct main-draw entry, potentially facing higher-ranked opponents early on.
Raducanu’s recent struggles include losses to top players such as Iga Swiatek and Marketa Vondrousova, as well as a first-round defeat to world No. 101 Cristina Bucsa in Singapore.
She will be accompanied in Dubai by mentor Jane O’Donoghue and fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura but remains without a permanent coach following Nick Cavaday’s departure.
