Overview
- Emirates publicly launched the new lounge concept on Tuesday with refreshed spaces now in use at Munich and Frankfurt.
- The airline says it will invest more than AED 50 million (about $14 million) in each lounge and will open Manchester in July, Mauritius in August, and Istanbul in October.
- The redesign creates distinct zones for work, dining, relaxation and wellbeing and adds features such as power and wireless charging at every seat, upgraded shower suites with VOYA amenities, Quiet Zones for sleep, and dedicated prayer rooms.
- Dining and service upgrades include live cooking stations, a ‘Made In’ area for local dishes, a bread oven, a barista bar and a dedicated mixologist.
- The move aims to fix long‑running complaints about Emirates’ outstation lounges across its 42‑lounge network but reviewers noted the rollout does not add a separate first‑class lounge area, which some saw as a missed chance to further differentiate the top tier experience.
