Emirates to Equip Entire Fleet With Free Starlink Wi‑Fi, First Flight Nov. 23

The carrier promises ground-like, one-click connectivity for all passengers, enabled by a rapid retrofit of 232 jets completing by mid-2027.

Overview

  • Emirates announced the fleetwide Starlink deal at the Dubai Airshow and showcased the first fitted 777-300ER (A6-EPF) for live demonstrations.
  • Installations are scheduled at roughly 14 aircraft per month, covering all 232 in-service widebodies by mid-2027.
  • A380 retrofits begin in February 2026, with an industry-first three-antenna configuration per A380 versus two on each 777 to increase capacity and coverage.
  • Access will be complimentary in every cabin with simple one-click login, supporting streaming, gaming, video calls and Live TV on personal devices, then seatback screens from late December 2025.
  • Emirates says the move will expand Starlink’s aviation footprint and challenge legacy inflight connectivity providers, with service availability subject to national regulatory permissions.
