Overview
- The additional Dubai–Cape Town rotation starts on July 1, 2026 and will be operated by an Airbus A350 featuring Premium Economy and refreshed Business and Economy cabins.
- The Cape Town deployment is Emirates’ first A350 operation in Southern Africa, making South Africa the only African market on its network served by all three Emirates aircraft types.
- Emirates cites consistently high load factors on the current double‑daily service, driven by inbound demand from the Gulf and outbound connections to Europe and the US East Coast.
- The A350 rollout also includes Rome–Taipei from May 1, a second daily Dubai–Copenhagen service from June 1, and a third daily Dubai–Phuket service from July 1.
- Bookings are open via Emirates’ website, app, and travel agents, with the new Cape Town service scheduled as EK778/779 with published departure and arrival times.
