Emilia Jones and Thuso Mbedu Join Cast of HBO's Untitled Task Force Series
The series, from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby and starring Mark Ruffalo, follows an FBI agent tackling drug-house robberies in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
- Emilia Jones and Thuso Mbedu have joined the cast of the upcoming HBO drama from Brad Ingelsby, the creator of Mare of Easttown, which stars Mark Ruffalo and is currently known as Task Force.
- The series is set in the working-class suburbs outside of Philadelphia and follows an FBI agent who heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man.
- Jones, known for her roles in Cat Person and CODA, will portray Maeve, the niece of Robbie (played by Tom Pelphrey) who puts her life on hold to care for his children.
- Mbedu, who played Nawi in The Woman King, will portray Sergeant Detective Aleah who has been recruited for Tom’s task force.
- Brad Ingelsby serves as a writer and executive producer alongside Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield, both of whom will also direct. Mark Ruffalo will also executive produce.
