Emilia Clarke and Mother Awarded MBEs for Charity Work

The Game of Thrones star and her mother were recognized by Prince William for their contributions to brain injury recovery through their charity, SameYou.

Emilia Clarke and her mother, Jenny Clarke, were honored with MBEs by Prince William at Windsor Castle for their work with SameYou, a charity supporting brain injury recovery.
SameYou was founded by Emilia and Jenny Clarke in 2019 after Emilia survived two life-threatening brain aneurysms, aiming to improve rehabilitation for brain injury patients.
Emilia Clarke shared her personal journey of surviving two brain haemorrhages and the lack of support for brain injury patients post-hospitalization, inspiring the creation of SameYou.
The investiture ceremony also recognized other notable figures, including JD Wetherspoon founder Sir Tim Martin and former chancellor Sir Sajid Javid, among others.
Emilia Clarke expressed gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the importance of raising awareness and support for brain injury recovery.
