• Teams from Cleveland Police, the North East Ambulance Service and Cleveland Fire Brigade’s water rescue unit responded to a scene near Yale Crescent and Sorbonne Close.
• A large-scale rescue operation was launched after reports that a person had entered the water, leading to the body’s recovery.
• Cleveland Police have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.
• Specialist officers are working with the victim’s family following several recent water-related recoveries on the River Tees.
