Overview

  • Specialist teams have moved the empty derailed train near Bletchley and are repairing damaged track on the West Coast Main Line.
  • Only two of the four tracks between Milton Keynes and Bletchley are operational, sustaining a reduced timetable for north–south routes.
  • Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway services through Euston continue to face cancellations and delays of up to 90 minutes on routes to Birmingham, Manchester and Scotland.
  • National Rail and operators have extended mutual ticket acceptance with Chiltern Railways, East Midlands Railway, CrossCountry and others to provide alternative travel options.
  • Passengers are warned that significant disruption may persist into the weekend and those delayed by 15 minutes or more can claim compensation under the Delay Repay scheme.
