Overview

  • Overnight on July 7–8, crews full-closed the A5 between Hirschberg and Weinheim to mill and replace roughly 30 meters of rutting-damaged asphalt.
  • Traffic toward Darmstadt was rerouted via the U59 and U61 to Hemsbach while the opposite direction on the A5 remained open.
  • The A6 six-lane widening between Triebendorf and Schwabach-West has been shut toward Nürnberg since July 1 and will stay closed until late August.
  • Starting this Thursday, the Schwetzingen/Hockenheim interchange on the A6 will undergo a full closure for bridge scaffold removal and corrosion protection with dynamic LED-guided detours.
  • Combined closures and lane restrictions are set to increase journey times across Baden-Württemberg and Hesse during peak holiday travel.
