• Emergency services were alerted at 11:40 am on July 8 after a school-aged boy fell into Dales Gorge in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
• Tom Price SES volunteers and the Bush Fire Brigade spent several hours navigating steep, isolated terrain to reach and retrieve the child.
• Paramedics took charge of the boy at about 2:45 pm and St John WA transported him to Tom Price Hospital for treatment.
