  • Embark announced on September 23 that Frozen Trail 2.0 will go live on October 8 as a free update that the studio frames as a soft relaunch.
  • Frozen Trail adds Pendola Pass, a large snowbound, vertical map built around a fallen Emperor and a limited three-person Ballistic Gondola extraction.
  • The update introduces the airborne Frigate and three new ARC enemies—Bully, Skulker, and Hydra—plus two new weapons and traversal gadgets such as a Grappling Hook.
  • New systems include personal Outposts with a Research Workstation, Weapon Amplification that opens higher-tier upgrade branches for 15 weapons, and expanded skill‑tree and quest changes to deepen progression.
  • Monetization and economy shifts arrive with a 60-level Reward Pass (free and premium tracks), a Collector Set DLC that bundles cosmetics and Raider Tokens, and the retirement of the in-game currency Cred on launch day.
