Overview
- The six-track album draws from a May 13, 2014 improvisational session at The Unknown studio in Anacortes, featuring Elverum’s gong sculpture and de Dionyso’s contrabass clarinet, lalove, and voice.
- Elverum recovered the unused recordings in December 2024 and assembled them into cohesive pieces before mastering by JJ Golden in Ventura, California.
- A trailer and a new video for “Sand Made From the Old Bank” have been released with directives to watch in Ultra HD and at maximum volume.
- Scheduled for August 8 via P. W. Elverum & Sun, the album will be available digitally and as a limited edition of 1,000 vinyl LPs with artwork by J. Pogue.
- This marks the first album credited to Phil Elverum under his given name and highlights a creative partnership with de Dionyso that dates back to the late 1990s.
