The partnership reportedly fell apart after Lemon conducted an interview with Musk that covered controversial topics such as content moderation, hate speech, and Musk's drug use.
Lemon is seeking a minimum of $1.5 million plus a share of advertising revenue, arguing that the cancellation was driven by Musk's displeasure with the interview.
Musk also contends that the case should be moved to Texas, citing his residency there and Lemon's residency in New York.
