ELMS Sets 2026 Calendar as Le Mans Cup Adds Single 3-Hour Road To Le Mans
Organisers cite rising attendance, prioritising stability to streamline team logistics.
Overview
- The European Le Mans Series confirmed an unchanged six-round slate for 2026 with four-hour races at Barcelona, Le Castellet, Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone and Portimão, preceded by a Barcelona prologue on 6–7 April and an opener on 12 April.
- Portimão will host the finale on 10 October, one week earlier than this season, in a move intended to help teams transition to the 2026/2027 Asian Le Mans Series.
- The Michelin Le Mans Cup will mirror the same six European venues, beginning with a collective test on 8 April and Round 1 at Barcelona on 11 April, with most races again running in support of ELMS events.
- Road To Le Mans will switch to a single three-hour race on the full Circuit de la Sarthe on Friday 12 June, replacing the previous two one-hour contests and offering more track time, with reporting suggesting the change also responds to recent driving-standards concerns.
- The ELMS Silverstone round on 13 September clashes with the IGTC Suzuka 1000km and the Portimão finale overlaps the Indianapolis 8 Hour, while the Barcelona opener coincides with GT World Challenge Europe’s Paul Ricard weekend.
