Elgato Debuts Facecam 4K With DSLR-Style Filters and Built-In Settings Storage

Elgato aims to lower the barrier to professional webcam features by launching the Facecam 4K at $199.99 with a complimentary polarizer or privacy cap.

Overview

  • The Facecam 4K supports 4K60 MJPG capture and uncompressed 4K30 output over USB 3.0 powered by a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with a 90° field of view.
  • It is the first webcam to accept standard 49 mm lens filters, and buyers can choose a free circular polarizer or privacy cap at checkout.
  • Onboard flash memory lets users save custom ISO, shutter speed and white balance settings directly to the device for plug-and-play use across setups.
  • Elgato’s Camera Hub software provides manual controls, pan/tilt/zoom functionality, LUT support and optional HDR recording.
  • Available July 29, 2025 for $199.99 in the U.S., the Facecam 4K ships with Low Light Mode disabled pending a firmware update and gains Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility with version 2.32 or later.
